  1. I am sorry, but there is not one item on this list that can't be done just as easily on a computer!!!!! Why would I jump through Apple's hoops to do these activities? In fact, I would argue a laptop or desktop is better suited to all of these tasks!

  2. Hi, John,
I couldn't seem to add to your doc, but I am loving the Posterous app on the iPad. I can start a post, take pictures or choose them from my photo library, and upload to my account right from my iPad. It is a great way to capture the moment for "posterity" at Posterous.

  3. @kathleen Yes, you are correct. But I think you are missing the point. Mobile devices provide a different experience than a laptop/desktop. They are much more personal and collaborative. Many of the things on this list I could do with a single iPad. I wouldn't be able to pass a desktop or a laptop around the room with ease.

Mobile computing is increasing exponentially faster than traditional computing, especially in developing countries. It is the future and we would be wise to experiment and plan accordingly.

In regards to your comment about Apple products, my suggestions would work equally as well on an Android tablet, I only chose the iPad because it is currently the most popular tablet on the market, and the device that I own.

    Thanks for being a reader!

  4. @Mrs. Stanley Thanks for reading and for your suggestion. I'm not a Posterous user myself, but everyone who uses it raves about it. Perhaps its time for me to jump on the bandwagon!
