Part 5: How does this work?

Note: this is part 5 of 5 in the series "Overcoming the Challenges of Online Learning"

"How does this work?" is one of the most common questions that I receive from parents. They really have no concept of how an online course works; what it looks like and how it "feels". I've given countless demos and open houses showing demonstrating our LMS, courses, and explaining our policies and procedures. People still ask the question.

To provide a greater understanding about how an online course works, we developed a free 2-week courses for students. The course, titled "It's Deeper", is a pretty simple example of online learning, but it allows families to experience online learning with no financial commitment and a reasonable time commitment.

So far, the course has been a smashing success. We've had a lot of activity and students are engaged.
